Keeping Up with Procurement Updates

Use official sources

For a particular tender, begin with the portal or issuing authority that published it. Review the relevant tender page and the associated notices rather than relying only on a forwarded message or a search result.

Keep a change log

Record the date of your review, the source, the document version and the change you identified. Link each change to any action it creates for your team, such as updating a checklist or replacing an earlier file.

Check what applies

An update may apply to a particular tender, category, organisation or time period. Read its scope before applying it to your work. If the impact is unclear, use the issuing authority’s stated clarification channel.

Review before submission

Make a final source check part of the submission workflow. Ensure your team is working from the same set of applicable documents and retain the records needed to explain the version you used.
